Levy Walks

According to WIVB Buffalo, Marv Levy is set to step down as General Manager of the Buffalo Bills. This comes as a surprise. I am disappointed that Levy would retire when the team he has assembled appears to be headed in a positive direction under his influence. Should the new GM come from outside the organization, we could be in for several more rebuilding seasons.

After these past few games, I would not be sad to see Dick Jauron out the door. Hopefully a new GM would bring about a coaching change. The defensive scheme is porous and the offensive play-calling is bland and uninspired. The CBS broadcast crew was able to predict what the Bills were going to do with reasonable accuracy. If it was obvious to them, it was obvious to the Eagles' coaching staff. There are many things I like about this team, and the coaching is not one of them. This is a talented young team, thanks to two solid drafts by Levy, and it's ashame to see them restricted by an ultra-conservative philosophy. I want to enjoy watching the Bills play football. I want to see a 15-yard pass over the middle. I want to see a big fat guy eating up offensive lineman and stuffing the run. But most of all, I want football to be fun again.

Ween

I got sucked into a Ween video vortex on you-tube today. This one's great and the video was directed by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Ween have been called the Trey Parker and Matt Stone of music. Maybe that's why I like them so much, although I was listening to Ween a bit before South Park came out. It's hard for me to describe Ween as articulately as the comment posters can, so I'll let "razorsharpwit" do it for me

This shit is great. I heard it on a Houston online radio station the other day and tracked down the mp3 tonight. Apparently it's featured on the DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist album Product Placement. Can't find a video, but making one would be awesome.

Apparently that mp3 came from here. There's a shitload of songs and there's probably other shit that's probably cool too, but the Shady vs Ragtime is super sweet. I've been looking for the bathroom song for a while too, check it out.

Digital Status

Now, I've wasted money on some ridiculous things. However, most of those things are tangible. Throwing your money away like this is something I can't begin to comprehend. Are people as dumb as this makes them appear? Does having a pixellated champagne bottle make me a better person? People pay real money for these things? At first, I thought this was a joke. Sadly, it is not. Maybe I should hit MS Paintbrush hard and do up some nice little icons to peddle. Sweet sassy molassy, de-evolution is no joke.

The hype has gotten to me...

I'm not even a boxing fan but after watching like 3 episodes of Maywether/Hatton 24/7 on HBO I cannot wait for Saturday night. Personally, I'd like to see Maywether knock Hatton out, not because I have something against Hatton mind you because he seems a right bloke, but after a week of insinuations that Sean Taylor deserved to be gunned down in his home by various sports radio callers, I need to see the hatred of the young , black, rich and mouthy to take a hit.
